Prelko
Company

Reactive balancing is a forecasting problem in disguise.

Prelko builds load forecasting and grid optimization software for utilities and large energy users. We started from one observation, and everything we build follows from it.

Why we started

The peak was always in the data.

Look back at almost any overload, emergency purchase or demand-charge spike and the signal was there hours earlier: a heat index climbing, a holiday pattern, solar dropping off faster than usual. The information existed. It simply was not turned into a forecast in time for anyone to act on it.

Control rooms have excellent tools for seeing what the grid is doing right now. Far fewer have a live, trustworthy view of what it will be doing at 7 PM tonight, or which lever to pull at 2 PM to change that.

Prelko exists to close that gap. We forecast continuously, flag the windows that matter, and hand operators a concrete plan while there is still time to use the cheap options. Then we measure, openly, whether it worked.

Principles

Three rules we build by.

01

Forecast ahead, not after.

A forecast is only valuable while there is time to act on it. We measure ourselves on lead time as much as on accuracy, and we show both on every alert.

02

Recommend, never override the operator.

The people running the grid carry the responsibility, so they keep the authority. Prelko proposes; a person approves. We do not build a write path to equipment.

03

Built for the grid, not a generic dashboard.

15-minute intervals, feeder ratings, contract demand, net-load ramps. We design around the units and constraints energy teams actually work in.

What we focus on

One job, done thoroughly.

We do not build SCADA, billing or asset management. We build the forecasting and recommendation layer that makes those systems proactive, and we integrate with them rather than replace them.

We forecastLoad, generation and net load, 1 hour to 7 days ahead
