Recommend, then approve. Never automatic.
When a peak is forecast, Prelko works out which levers you have - storage, flexible load, scheduled imports - and proposes a plan with megawatts and timings. Your operator approves, modifies or declines it, and executes it in your own systems.
| Action | Window | MW |
|---|---|---|
| Charge battery storage, Substation 4 | 14:30-17:00 | +40 |
| Discharge battery storage, Substation 4 | 18:00-20:00 | -90 |
| Shift contracted flexible C&I load | 18:00-20:00 | -55 |
What the plan does to the curve.
Every recommendation shows the forecast with and without the proposed actions, so the operator can see exactly where megawatts move.
A person signs off on every megawatt.
Prelko has no write access to grid equipment. Approved plans are carried out through your SCADA, EMS or plant controls by the people who already run them.
Recommendations expire if not acted on. Nothing is queued to run on its own, and declining a recommendation has no side effects.
Recommendation issued
Linked to the peak alert, with actions, windows, MW and expected effect.
Routed to the right operator
By asset, area or shift, with an expiry time based on the lead time.
Approve, modify or decline
Operators can change MW or timing; Prelko recalculates the effect instantly.
Executed in your systems
The operator carries out the plan through existing control systems.
Logged and scored
Decision, reason and outcome are recorded and appear in performance reports.
Uses the flexibility you already have.
Battery storage
Charge windows before the peak, discharge during it, within state-of-charge and cycling limits you set.
Flexible and contracted load
Demand-response contracts, interruptible industrial load and process schedules that can shift by hours.
Imports and network switching
Scheduled imports, inter-feeder transfers and generation re-dispatch, flagged for the relevant desk.
Dispatch questions
Can Prelko execute dispatch automatically?
No. Prelko forecasts and recommends. It does not directly control grid infrastructure or execute dispatch actions. Every recommendation routes to your operators for approval and execution.
How are the recommended actions chosen?
Prelko evaluates the levers you register, with their limits and costs, against the forecast peak and its uncertainty, and proposes the lowest-impact combination that keeps load within limits.
What happens if an operator modifies a plan?
The effect on the forecast is recalculated immediately. The modified plan and the reason given are stored alongside the original recommendation.
Works best as part of the full loop.
