Privacy Policy
How we handle the personal information of people who use this website and the Prelko platform, and how that differs from the operational grid data our customers entrust to us.
1. Scope
This policy covers personal information collected through this website (including the signup and contact forms) and through the Prelko forecasting platform (the "Service"). It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Operational data that customers load into the Service - interval load, generation, weather and demand signals - is governed by the customer's agreement with us and is described separately in section 4.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Signup details: name, work email, organization, job title, workspace type, number of sites, approximate peak load, forecasting method and control systems in use.
- Contact and demo requests: name, work email, organization, grid or facility size, forecasting method, workspace name and the content of your message.
- Account information within the Service: user profile, role and preferences.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded in standard server logs.
- A session cookie used to verify the form captcha and prevent automated submissions.
- Within the Service: sign-in events, actions taken (for example approving a recommendation) and audit records.
3. How we use personal information
- To create your workspace and send your login credentials and account details.
- To respond to demo, sales and support requests.
- To operate, secure and improve the website and the Service, including preventing spam and abuse.
- To keep audit trails of decisions made in the Service, such as who approved a dispatch recommendation.
- To send service notices about your account. We do not send marketing email without your consent, and every such email includes an unsubscribe option.
4. Customer grid and load data
Load history, weather feeds and demand signals uploaded or connected by a customer are processed only to provide forecasts, alerts, recommendations and reports to that customer. The customer owns this data and can export it at any time.
The Service is designed to work with aggregated feeder, substation or site load and does not require personal data about electricity consumers. Customers should not upload consumer-identifiable data unless it has been agreed with us in writing.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted by role, and access to customer workspaces by our staff is logged. See Data & Security for detail. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will notify affected customers of any breach as required by law.
7. Retention
Contact and demo requests are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and no longer than 24 months without further contact. Account information is kept for the life of the account. Customer grid data is retained for the life of the subscription and deleted on request when it ends.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise these rights. You can make a request through the contact page; we will respond within the period required by law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email and highlighted on this page before they take effect.
